Doherty's Campground

History

Peter Pan, was the beginning of where Doherty's now resides.  Peter Pan was a vacation spot for many New York City residents up to the 1950's.  After the unfortunate burning of Peter Pan, a boys camp was established from the existing property.  In 1973, the boys camp turned into a campground, Mohigan Campground.  Margaret & Bernie Doherty purchased the campground in 1983 from George and Gloria Hupie, owners of Mohigan Campground.
